Today we will summit the highest peak in Portugal, Pico Torre (1,993 metres). The truth is that you can get there by car but we prefer to walk and get to know the area.

We get up early, we want to get to Manteigas to start from there a hiking route known as the Zezere Glacier Valley route, considered another of the seven natural wonders of Portugal.

Today we are leaving Vau, the next few days we will be visiting the Serra da Estrela Natural Park to get to know the Portuguese Beira.

We started the day by visiting the town of Caldas da Rainha. The owner of our accommodation has recommended us to go there as it is market day and we love markets.

Today we would like to tour the coast north of Peniche, a perfect surfing village if you wish to visit the Berlengas Islands reserve, an option that we rejected due to the weather.

Today we left Lisbon. We left the apartment and walked to the Marques de Pombal parking lot to pick up the car, next stop Sintra.

After breakfast at the flat we walked to Praça do Comercio. It takes about twenty minutes to walk there.
